Man robbed by window thief

It is alleged that the suspect shot at the victim through the window before demanding a laptop and cell phones.

A QUARRY Heights resident stared down the barrel of a gun in the early hours of Thursday morning when an armed robber broke into his home.

W/O Leon Audh, of the Greenwood Park SAPS, said the victim was woken up at around 3.30am when he allegedly heard a window break.

“Upon investigating he opened the curtain and was startled when an unknown man pointed a fire arm at him through the window. The suspect fired one shot and demanded the complainant hand over his laptop to him through the window or he will be shot,” said Audh.

The suspect also reportedly demanded cell phones to which the complainant replied that he had none.

The suspect then fled. Police have appealed to anyone with information with regards to this case to contact  Det/W/o Moodley on 083 799 6999 or Vispol Commander Major Sibisi on 078 153 3403.
