4 injured after a string of Durban accidents

It is believed that all three accidents were caused by the drivers losing control of their vehicles.

FOUR people have been left injured following three separate accidents, north of Durban, in the early hours of this morning. It is believed that all three accidents were caused by the drivers losing control of the vehicles.

In the first incident paramedics arrived at the scene to find that two commuters had sustained moderate injuries in the accident on the M41 off-ramp from the M4.

“A driver and his female passenger, both believed to be in their late twenties, suffered suspected neck injuries and were treated and stabilised on scene before being taken to a nearby hospital,” said Kyle van Reenen of Crisis Medical.

In a separate incident along the N2, near the M41 off-ramp the driver had also lost control of the vehicle. However, Van Reenen confirmed that no one was injured in the second accident.

Then in the third accident, a driver and his two passengers were ‘lucky to escape unscathed’ when the vehicle they were traveling in, collided with a second motor vehicle on Aurora Drive near Gateway Theatre of Shopping, he added.

Local authorities were present on the scene of each incidents and the necessary investigations are underway.
