Woman robbed of R3 000 in mall parking lot

The robber held up the victim with a rusted knife.

A WOMAN was robbed of R3 000 in cash in the parking lot of La Lucia Mall on Monday. According to Durban North SAPS spokesman, Lt Raymond Deokaran, the woman was held up at knife-point at around midday.

“The woman was walking back to her car when a man walked up to her and pulled out a rusted knife. He attempted to hide the knife from other mall users as it was very busy at the time. He then told her to ‘give me the money and don’t make a scene as people are looking’. He then took the cash and ran off,” he said.

In July this year, a man was robbed of R50 000 in the undercover parking at the mall.
