Woman hijacked outside Durban North home

A Durban North businesswoman was held up by knife-wielding men.

A DURBAN North businesswoman was held up by two men armed with knives on Blue Ridge Road, Virginia, earlier this morning. The woman, who tried to fight back, was roughed up by the thugs before eventually handing over her keys.

“The woman who runs a garden services business, had stopped on Blue Ridge Road to collect equipment from a house. Once her workers had gone onto the property to collect the items, she was approached by two armed men.

“A struggle ensued as the woman resisted the hijackers. She was roughed up in the altercation and the men eventually took her keys and drove off with the vehicle, a Nissan bakkie,” explained Lt Raymond Deokaran, spokesman for the Durban North SAPS.

Last week a truck was stolen from Lothian Road businesswoman’s premises.
