Christin crowned Miss SA Dream winner

Greenwood Park Primary School pupil wins beauty pageant.

GREENWOOD Park Primary School pupil and resident, Christin Robson, was recently crowned Miss SA Dream Model Search winner (U12 category). She also received certificates highlighting her charitable work with her school, as well as winning the Best Pageant Outfit.

“The Dream Model Search is an awesome opportunity to teach young people to give back to their community, while having fun and taking part in an amazing pageant. My modelling teacher told me about it and I decided to enter. I didn’t expect to win but it was an incredible feeling when they announced my name, I was overwhelmed with emotion and just burst into tears.

“On pageant day we were joined by a young girl who was terminally ill. With the Help of Reach for a Dream Foundation an the Models helped to make her dream of being a model come true. Seeing her on stage was such an inspiration, to see this brave girl fighting, was incredibly emotional, but heartwarming,” she said.

Christin said her charitable work was inspired by her mother, Melanie.

“She’s always taking the time to help others out, whatever the case may be. Growing up and watching her inspired me to follow in her footsteps. It’s a lovely feeling giving something back to the community and making someone feel special. While it is nice winning, I’ve learnt it is not about the sash or crown, but making a difference to others,” she explained.
