Car bursts into flames in uMhlanga
A father and his son were able to escape the blaze before the vehicle burst into flames.
A FATHER and son escaped unscathed after their vehicle caught alight on the M41 in uMhlanga this evening.
The man reportedly stopped at the side of the road when he noticed smoke escaping from the engine compartment.
The duo was able to exit the vehicle before it burst into flames. Fire-fighters responded to the scene and were able to extinguish the blaze within minutes.
A similar incident was reported in April last year. In the previous incident, a Mercedes Benz caught alight at the Gateway off-ramp, bringing traffic to a standstill.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
