Dramatic footage of high speed N2 crash
Total chaos reigned on Saturday when goods fell off a trailer and smashed into a car on the N2 south bound.
A BAKKIE carrying a heavily loaded trailer careened out of control of the busy N2 on Saturday bringing traffic on the busy freeway to a standstill and emergency services rushing the scene. The bakkie lost its cargo  on the  N2 south-bound just past Queen Nandi Drive.
Dash Camera (dashcamera.co.za) posted a video on its Facebook page showing how the bakkie loses control.
The goods loaded onto the trailer then comes off, smashing into a Toyota that was driving in the fast lane.
The trailer’s cargo, that appeared to be wooden slabs, caused the Toyota to get airborne for a second before it smashed into the barrier separating the north and south bound highway lanes.
A local paramedic service said it is unclear what caused the bakkie to lose control. It also reported that three people in the Toyota were injured. No one in the bakkie was injured.
