Cupcakes of Hope fundraiser a sweet success in uMhlanga

Proceeds from the event, and events held at other participating malls across the country, will go towards assisting over 250 children who are fighting cancer.

ABOUT 2 500 cupcakes were sold at the Cupcakes of Hope national fundraiser at the Gateway Theatre of Shopping on Saturday.

Organiser of the event and local resident, Michelle Manicum, said the day was a resounding success.

“Our amazing baker, volunteers and those who bought something deserve all the thanks as this event would not have been the success that it was without them. We are sold out every year, and it’s all because of their support,” she said.

“The purpose of this event is to raise awareness and funds for families in need of medical assistance. Supporting this event means that this is now possible,” she added.
