Dead body found in Durban North park

The man’s body was discovered by a member of the public who was walking through the park.

DURBAN North SAPS have opened an inquest docket after the body of a man was discovered in Bridgevale Park and Nature Reserve on Monday afternoon.

According to Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell, the body was discovered by a member of the public at the bottom of the Kenneth Kaunda (Northway) bridge.

“A member of the public discovered a deceased body during their walk in Bridgevale Park, located in the Durban North area. Our team were immediately dispatched to the scene and secured the area and cordoned off the crime scene to ensure a thorough investigation could take place.

“The unknown male has been declared deceased by paramedics on scene. The cause of death remains unknown at this time,” Powell said.
