Teenager stabbed while attending funeral in Cornubia
The teenager was attending his uncle's funeral when he and his older cousin proceeded to a nearby tuckshop where they were robbed.

A 17-year-old male was stabbed twice while attending his uncle’s funeral in Cornubia.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) spokesperson Prem Balram says RUSA arrived on scene at approximately 20:57 on Friday night after receiving a call for assistance.

“On arrival, the teenager was found to have sustained a stab wound to his back and left arm. It was established that the victim was attending his uncle’s funeral when he and his older cousin proceeded to a nearby tuckshop. Three males then approached them, produced knives and demanded their valuables. A scuffle ensued which resulted in the teenager being stabbed,” said Balram.
He said the suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction.
