Stolen vehicle found in uMhlanga, one arrested
One man was arrested and taken to Durban North Police Station for processing.
A VEHICLE, allegedly used in several fraud cases was stopped, and the driver arrested in uMhlanga on Friday.
A Marshall Security armed response officer noticed the Honda Jazz in the area at about 22:22 after vehicle information had been shared with teams prior to then incident.
“This vehicle was wanted for being involved in several cases of fraud in the Hillcrest area,” said Marshall spokesperson, Tyron Powell.
In a joint effort, Durban North SAPS Crime Prevention Unit and Marshall Security brought the vehicle to a stop on Aurora Drive, and immediately arrested a suspect.
“It was later established that the vehicle was stolen from the Hillcrest area in March 2021. Detectives from Hillcrest SAPS were informed and responded to the scene to investigate,” said Powell.
The suspect and the vehicle were taken to Durban North SAPS for processing and further investigations.
