SAPS releases identity of La Lucia shooting victim
No arrests have been made for the La Lucia shooting.
POLICE released the identity of the man shot dead in La Lucia Ridge yesterday morning.
Ranesh Singh (48) was shot multiple times in his vehicle. It was reported his car then slammed into the gate of property.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Thembeka Mbele said SAPS were alerted to the scene after they received a complaint of a car crashing into a premises. This is where Singh’s body was found.

“Police received a complaint of a car crashing into a parking premises along Armstrong Avenue in La Lucia. Upon arrival at the scene police found an unknown male victim with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body,” she said.
When Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene yesterday, they decalred the man dead on scene.
Netcare 911’s spokesperson, Shawn Herbst said it appeared that the man was shot with a high-calibre firearm.
No arrests have been made.
