Cellphone store robbed at uMhlanga mall

Staff were held up by four armed men.

A CELLPHONE store was robbed at The Crescent at Umhlanga Ridge a short while ago.

“An undisclosed amount of valuables was taken. The cellphone store staff were assessed by KZN VIP Medics and luckily escaped unharmed but were highly traumatised,” said Garreth Jamieson, spokesperson for KZN VIP.

“The suspect’s vehicle is unconfirmed at this stage as suspects were seen fleeing on foot out of the mall,” he said.

Emergency services, together with SAPS were at the Scene. 

Marketing manager for the mall, Kalpana Ramsamy said she could not comment on the matter as the incident is still being investigated.
