Number plate recognition cameras lead to seizure of two vehicles in North Durban

Both vehicles were recovered after officers were alerted via Snipr ANPR technology cameras.

SECURITY personnel from local company, Marshall Security, helped recover two stolen vehicles over the long Easter weekend. 

According to Marshall spokesperson, Tyron Powell, both vehicles were recovered after officers were alerted via their Snipr ANPR technology cameras.

“One of our officers noticed one of the vehicles in question parked on North Beach Road in eMdloti. It was later established that the vehicle was linked to a theft case in Kokstad. On a separate day over the weekend, a second vehicle in question was spotted by our guarding team parked in the parking lot of a well known shopping mall in uMhlanga.

“Our Armed Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched to assist. It was later established that the vehicle was linked to a theft case in Stanger. Both scenes were secured and handed over to the SAPS and Metro Police for further investigation,” Powell said.
