Lack of spares extends eMdloti’s power outage
Residents have been without power since around 6pm last night.
RESIDENTS in eMdloti have been battling without electricity since 6pm last night.
A fault in a main cable is said to be the cause behind the massive outage.

According to ward councillor Geoff Pullan, the repair has been delayed as the city does not have any spares available.
He said at the moment they are waiting for a senior member of council to sign a requisition order to allow for the technician to buy the parts.

Pullan said he was unfortunately unable to give an estimation of when the fault would be repaired.
The Northglen News has reached out to the eThekwini Municipality for comment.
