Suspect arrested after Parkhill housebreak-in

The suspect was found in possession of a phone and an undisclosed amount of money.

MARSHALL Security arrested a suspect on Wednesday morning for his involvement in a housebreak-in on Eastview Road. 

The company’s spokesperson, Tyron Powell, said the incident occurred at about 5.50am.

“We received a request for assistance from a community WhatsApp group in Eastview Road. Our armed reaction officers were dispatched to the scene. The suspect jumped over the fence into the property and entered the house through a door that had been left unlocked.

“The suspect stole a phone and an undisclosed amount of money. One of our officers heard the description of the suspect and spotted him on the corner of Kenneth Kaunda Road (Northway) and Umhlanga Rocks Drive. The suspect was handed over to Greenwood Park SAPS,” Powell said.
