PinkDrive partners with Department of Health in Covid-19 screening campaign

PinkDrive provided mobile screening vehicles and medical staff to assist with call to roll out mass testing.

THE PinkDrive NPC,  has joined forces with the National Department of Health (NDoH) to bring Covid-19 testing and screening to targeted hot spots in Gauteng, Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal. With two nurses working in KwaZulu-Natal, the PinkDrive has screened 1792 patients for Covid-19 and tested 1085 patients.

PinkDrive also provided mobile screening vehicles and medical staff to assist with the call to roll out mass testing.

Noelene Kotschan, CEO and Founder of PinkDrive said: “Like all health professionals on the frontline of this pandemic we salute the PinkDrive medical staff and management who have selflessly taken up the challenge to provide these screening services to the South African communities.”

PinkDrive’s mission is to prolong lives through the prevention of illness, disease, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles, and to consistently improve the health care delivery system by focusing on access, equity, efficiency, quality and sustainability.

The organisation offers gender related cancer screening services to South Africans who are not medically insured.

PinkDrive services include mammograms, clinical breast examinations, pap smears and Prostate-Specific Antigen screening in indigent communities in South Africa.
