Brazen thieves target uMhlanga car dealership

The break-in took place at about 6.55pm on Tuesday evening.

DURBAN North SAPS have confirmed a case of burglary has been opened following a brazen break-in at the Hyundai dealership in uMhlanga on Tuesday evening. According to police, the break-in took place at about 6.55pm on Jubilee Grove.

Quintin Dry, dealer principal at Hyundai uMhlanga, confirmed the incident had taken place.

“The gang held up a security guard at gunpoint on the premises before using a crowbar to break in to the office. They made off with several computers and a TV valued at about R145 000,” he said.

It is understood the suspects were using a white Toyota Yaris in the incident.

No arrests have yet been made and the suspects are still at large.
