PUBLIC protector Advocate Busisiswe Mkhwebane has welcomed President Cyril Ramaphosa’s move to take her report under judicial review and said she is confident that her findings are factual.
The reaction comes shortly after Ramaphosa’s announcement on Sunday evening stating his legal team has concluded that the report was fundamental and irretrievable fraud. Ramaphosa said the report contained “numerous factual inaccuracies of a material nature”.

In the report, Mkhwebane had found that Ramaphosa deliberately lied to the Parliament about the R500 00 Bosasa donation towards the 2017 presidential election campaign.
Here’s what people had to say on Twitter:
Cyril must resign and enjoy his billions, give the country to The EFF and the Zuma faction to F@$& it up. We are F@$&###BusisiweMkhwebane pic.twitter.com/f17eZsaBDY

Whilst some Tweeted that Ramaphosa can’t be trusted, other Tweeps were criticizing the Public Protector and said she must pay the 15 per cent legal costs on the Bankorp/Absa investigation.
This is a huge and far reaching judgment:#ConCourt: PP #BusisiweMkhwebane must pay 15% of #SARB's legal costs, including 3 counsel, out of her own pocket.
SARB's cross appeal, asking declarator that PP abused her office in the Bankorp/Absa investigation, was dismissed.— Pauli Van Wyk (@PaulivW) July 22, 2019
Good fellow SAns, calm down. Each case has its own merits. The judgement against the PP today has NO BEARING WHATSOEVER on the Pravin/Gordhan cases. The PP lost the ABSA case a long time ago and this was a costs case, not a retrial. Pravin and Ramaphosa are STILL coming. Okay? đ
