Armed robbers storm Durban North home

The suspects were armed with handguns.

A THREE-MAN gang robbed a Burndale Place home on Thursday at around 2.45pm. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the suspects were armed with handguns.

“Reports from the scene suggest that three men armed with handguns stormed the home just after 2.45pm confronting the homeowner and his domestic workers before confining them to a bathroom and ransacking the home. The suspects made off with three flat screen televisions and other undisclosed items, fleeing in an awaiting getaway vehicle,” he said.

A case of house robbery has been opened at the Greenwood Park SAPS.

The armed robbery is the first since November last year when two armed robbers were killed in a shootout. The duo were part of a larger gang who were robbing a home on Lansdowne Crescent.

Video footage of the incident later emerged on social media.
