The man alleged he was robbed and assaulted while on his way to pay workers at a construction site near Sibaya.

A 38-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested and charged with defeating the course of justice after lying about a robbery on the M4 near Sibaya earlier this month.

According to SAPS provincial spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele, the suspect alleged he had parked his vehicle near the M4 highway to pay workers at a local construction site.
