Armed gang storm uMhlanga home

Two domestic workers were at home at the time of the robbery.

A GANG of five armed men robbed a home on Westridge Road in uMhlanga on Tuesday afternoon. According to Capt Raymond Deokaran, spokesman for the Durban North SAPS, the suspects made off with a number of items including a safe taken from the home.

“The gang held up two domestic workers who were home at the time of the robbery which took place at about 2.30pm. The gang confined the domestic workers to a room in the home before ransacking the place. At this stage it is unclear what getaway vehicle was used in the robbery,” he said.
