Man shot and killed on Inanda Road

Police are urging witnesses to come forward to assist in the investigation.

A 33-year-old man was shot and killed by unknown suspects near a service station along Inanda Road on Wednesday night.

Provincial police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane said the motive of the killing is unknown.

“According to eyewitnesses, two unknown men fired several shots at the victim at around 7pm. After they shot him, they fled in a white motor vehicle which was parked meters away from the scene. The victim sustained 10 fatal gunshot wounds to his back,” said Zwane.

Zwane urged members of the public who may have information on the suspects to come forward.

“A murder case is being investigated by Greenwood Park SAPS. We urge anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward,” he said.
