Man’s body discovered near Queen Nandi Drive

It's believed the man was shot before being dumped into the river.

POLICE have launched a murder investigation  after the body of a man was recovered  in Umhlangane River under the N2 freeway near Queen Nandi Drive.  SAPS provincial spokesperson Captain Nqobile Gwala said they believe the man was shot before being dumped into the river.

“SAPS search and rescue recovered the body of an unknown African man earlier today. The deceased had a single gunshot wound at the back of his head, ” said Gwala

Three weeks ago the body of another man was found floating in the ocean, about 300 metres off the uMhlanga beach shore.

Gwala concluded by saying a murder case will be opened and investigated by police.
