Armed men storm Somerset Park home

The suspects struck at the Somerset Park complex just after 3am.

AN armed gang broke into a Somerset Drive home in the early hours of Tuesday morning. According to Kyle van Reenen of Marshall Security, the three-man gang derailed the gate of the home just after 3am.

“The suspects derailed a gate to the housing complex in Somerset Park, before forcing open a burglar guard and gaining entry to one of the properties. The homeowner who was asleep at the time, woke to an armed man standing over his bed and was ordered to lie still while the suspects ransacked his home. The men then fled in the homeowner’s Audi A3. Although traumatised in the ordeal, the homeowner did not suffer any physical injuries,” he said.

A case of house robbery has been opened at the Durban North SAPS.
