Woman stabbed with screwdriver on Acutt Avenue

The injured woman managed to flag down a security vehicle for medical assistance.

A MAN has been arrested by the Greenwood Park SAPS after he stabbed his girlfriend in what is believed to be a domestic argument on Acutt Avenue. According to Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen, the woman, who is in a stable condition is currently recovering at Addington Hospital.

“One of our officers was flagged down by the bloodied woman who said she had been stabbed by her boyfriend. We managed to treat her on scene with the help of Crisis Medical paramedics. Her boyfriend was later caught by the Greenwood Park SAPS after he was spotted running along Chris Hani Road (North Coast Road).

“The incident occurred on Tuesday evening. She was stabbed in the right arm with a screwdriver but managed to get away from her boyfriend after the altercation. She is currently recovering at Addington Hospital,” he said.
