The bicycle theft comes on the back of several other cases in the North Durban area. Last month, an uMgeni Park resident lost seven bicycles worth more than R150 000. The Chicks Drive resident, Sean Lucien, put out a reward of R20 000 for the return of the bicycles.

He also released video footage of the incident showing the suspects in action. The thieves also stole an iPhone and several tools from Lucien’s garage in the break-in.
