Sibaya gambler becomes instant millionaire
The winner was playing the slot machine at 11.30am when she won.
THE second large slot win in the past three weeks at Sibaya was taken away by a Roodepoort woman who walked off with more than R1.8-million on Saturday. Nola Lawrence was playing the Sunstriker slot machine at 11.30am when the machine bells started ringing – she had scooped the big prize of a whopping R1 825 93,97.
The 56-year old said: “I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was just an indescribably amazing moment,” she said.

Sibaya’s general manager, Melville Vogel, said: “I was extremely pleased with her win. It is wonderful when a big jackpot goes off. This one was really big and will literally be able to change Mrs Lawrence’s life.”
