BEING crowned Miss Junior South Africa was one of the launching pads for local beauty, Jamie de Bruine. The Redhill resident is now a finalist in this year’s Miss Africa competition. She is also a brand ambassador for Flawesome, an NPO focusing on the needs of the youth.

“Winning Miss Junior South Africa has been such a blessing and I’ve been privileged to help so many people from different walks of life. It has taught me the importance of giving with your whole heart to the community. I believe that your biggest wish, your greatest dream, your strongest goal and your best plan should be to invest in yourself and your community. It will strengthen you and make you stand out.

“I am a brand ambassador for Flawesome. The NPO’s message is as a community we have so many flaws but do not see the awesome in it. At Flawesome we look at these flaws and find the awesome in it. Empowering not only young boys and girls but the entire community to look at life in a more positive way,” she said.
