Car stolen from Glenhills recovered

An unknown number of suspects gained access to the property by derailing the gate.

AUTHORITIES managed to track down and recover a vehicle that had been stolen during a house robbery in Tipuana Drive in Glenhills on Wednesday morning.

According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, an unknown number of suspects stormed the home after they derailed the gate.

“The domestic worker and home owner, who were present at the time, confined themselves to a bedroom and called for help,” he said.

Van Reenen said the suspects fled with the homeowner’s BMW in an unknown direction, but authorities were able to recover the vehicle – which had been abandoned in Ntuzuma – through the vehicle’s tracking device.

The suspects remain at large.
