Two arrested on Umhlanga Rocks Drive

The car was used by the duo in a business break-in last month.

A VEHICLE which was allegedly used in a business robberywas seized on Umhlanga Rocks Drive on Wednesday afternoon by members of Marshall Security. According to Tyron Powell of Marshall, the vehicle, a VW Polo, was used in a business robbery last month. Two people were detained before being handed over to the Durban North SAPS.

“The vehicle was picked up by one of our cameras in the area which flagged the number plates. After stopping the vehicle and checking the registration, we found it had been used in a business break-in in Umbilo last month. Two people were detained and handed over to the police. One of those detained had previously been arrested for business robbery and possession of unlicensed firearm,” he said.

The vehicle has been taken to the Durban North police station.
