2 dead as taxi overturns and bursts into flames on M4
Paramedics on scene have treated 15 other people who were injured in the accident.
A HORRIFIC accident on the M4 has claimed the lives of two people and left 15 others seriously injured when a taxi overturned and burst into flames on Sunday morning. Two people, who were trapped in the wreck, are said to have burned to death.
It is believed the taxi had a blowout causing it to overturn.
Netcare 911, Rescue Care and Crisis Medical paramedics are on scene.
Firefighters have extinguished the blaze, however, Garrith Jamieson, of Rescue Care said that the M4 northbound has been closed off and traffic has been heavily affected.
Kyle van Reenen of Crisis Medical said traffic would be re-directed at the Broadway off-ramp and back on after the Virginia on-ramp.
