Durban North resident assaulted in armed robbery
The homeowner's cars were also stolen in the armed robbery.
A DURBAN North resident was assaulted in an armed robbery on Ennisdale Drive on Monday evening. According to the Durban North SAPS, the suspects also stole two of the homeowner’s cars in the robbery. Police said the robbers were wearing balaclavas.
“The five suspects, three of whom were armed stormed the home at about 7.45pm. The suspects were all wearing balaclavas and demanded the family lie down on the ground as they entered the home. They then struck the homeowner over the head with the butt of the gun several times. The suspects then fled with the homeowner’s Audi and another vehicle, allegedly a BMW, parked on the property. They took several home appliances, including cell phones and a TV,” the station said.
The suspects are still at large.
