Greenwood Park police search for armed robbers

The men left the premises after questioning an employee and then returned with weapons.

THE owner and staff at a local business was attacked and ordered to lay on the ground while three armed men robbed the premises.

Speaking about the incident that occurred on 6 January, at 11am, communications officer for the Greenwood Park SAPS, Warrant Officer, Leon Audh, said a resident was approached by three men while at her place of employment and was questioned about any available vacancies.

“The men thereafter left the premises. A few minutes later the same three men returned, however this time they were armed. The suspects then instructed the owner and staff to lay on the ground while they robbed the place.

“The armed suspects fled the scene in a white Golf (CA Number Plates) with a wallet and jewellery. No shots were fired or injuries sustained in this incident.
