Winners announced for Ballito Photo Club’s May competition

Local amateur photographers on the move.

Salt Rock photographer Avril Eshmade was named the winner of the Ballito Photo Club’s set subject category, “Destination Ballito”, at the recent monthly meeting.

Fourteen-year-old Haydn Mc Clure again claimed the junior competition honours in the “Nature” category.

The May winners were:

• Colour Open: John Roux – “Children of Mother Africa”.

• Mono and best overall senior photographer of the month: Brian Roberts – “Elephants Drinking”.

“Elephants Drinking” – Brian Roberts.

• Nature and best overall junior photographer of the month: Haydn Mc Clure – “Perched”.

• Scapes: John Roux – “Born out of Rock”.

• Photojournalism and Sport: John Louw – “Drifting”.

• Visual Art: Nicola Paul – “Field of Dandelions”.
