Get your Super Naweek on at Blythedale!

Pack the kids, bicycles and swimming suits into the car and get ready for a weekend of non-stop fun.

Cancel all your plans as the Super Naweek in association with Capitec is happening at the Blythedale Event Bowl this weekend.

The family-friendly music festival will be featuring top SA musicians and offer tons of outdoor activities for all ages.

Gates open at 4pm on Friday June 22 and the weekend kicks off with an epic foam party and DJ at 6pm.

The evening will be jam-packed with live music starting with Pieter Smith from 6.45pm, followed by Nadine at 8pm and Dozi will end off the evening with an hour of music starting at 9.15pm.

Saturday will be a full day of activities, more live music and big screen live rugby.

Gates open at 8am and remember to bring your bicycles or running shoes, as there will be mountain bike trails, trail running and a 4×4 trail to test your truck’s capabilities.

The market will be offering a variety of delicious treats such as pulled pork rolls, Turkish Shawarma and craft beer.

There will also be a selection of beautiful accessory and clothing stands where you can update your style with the latest fashion trends.

Remember to catch the Jong Supersterre competition finals from 11.15am to see the upcoming superstars shine in the limelight as they show off their talent.

The afternoon will have non-stop live performances starting with Dewald Wasserfall at 12.30pm, followed by Nadine, Karlien van Jaarsveld, Ray Dylan and Die Campbells.

Dads won’t miss a moment of the action as live rugby will be shown on the big screen from 5.30pm till 7pm.

After that, the one and only Kurt Darren will entertain from 7pm with Erno Adams’ performance at 8:15pm ending the evening.

Bars close at 11.30pm on both evenings.

Tickets are available from itickets.co.za and cost R150 for adults and R60 for children under 12.

Camping starts from R450 per site per day with a maximum of six people per site. There are also various glamping packages available.

To make your weekend even more fun, why not take the train to the Super Naweek.

Hop aboard the Holiday Express train at Durban Station on June 23 at 9am. A return ride ticket costs R295 per adult and R210 per child.

Take the N2 north and exit at the KwaDukuza/Stanger Blythedale turn-off. At the top of the off-ramp turn right, cross over the bridge and drive towards the ocean.  The turn-off to the Event Bowl is ±200m from the N2 bridge.   You will see a container with security at the turn-off and lots of signage for Blythedale Coastal Resort. Follow the dirt road for about four kilometres to the Event Bowl.
