Tinley Manor’s Links boys shine at karate awards

The brothers recently showcased their karate prowess at the Bloemfontein league, returning with gold medals.

Tinley Manor’s Links karate brothers have returned from the KZN karate awards events in Durban with a bagful of accolades.

Older brother Xander was named Sportsman of the Year, awarded his KZN colours and earned the title of senior team kata champion for 2023.

Joshua received his KZN colours and received am award as the captain of the KZN team competing at a championship in Bloemfontein.

He was further honoured for being appointed junior head coach for the KZN SALGA team.

Father and mentor, Sensei Nicolas Links, couldn’t contain his pride, saying karate was a way of life for the Links family.

He was also recognised for his unwavering passion and dedication to the sport.

The brothers recently showcased their karate prowess at the Bloemfontein league, returning with gold medals.

Their dominance was evident both in individual divisions and team events.
