#Letter: Active civil society groups deserve support from Ballito residents

We reap the benefits of this thriving community spirit.

Docrra chairperson Deon Viljoen writes:

The Dolphin Coast community is truly blessed with a comprehensive group of active civil society organisations, including a residents and ratepayers association, a business chamber, a full range of safety and security organisations, neighbourhood watches and community policing forums.

Recent articles in the Courier have highlighted the vibrancy of these groups, all working together to represent our interests and hold government and service providers to account.

In addition to these groups, we are also fortunate to have a wide range of outreach and charitable organisations that make a positive impact in our community.

This combined effort is undoubtedly why our region is booming with new investment and expansion, while maintaining a quality lifestyle for all of us.

As we reap the benefits of this thriving community spirit, let’s increase our collective leverage by joining and supporting these volunteer-led initiatives, and let’s exercise our vote on the 29th to ensure further positive change for our enviable part of the country.
