#DJsRecords: God’s invitation to a life of friendship

There is abundant evidence for the reality of God and His availability for us to discover Him as an intimate Friend!

“The people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.” Daniel 11:32.

The sad truth is that much of the modern world remains ignorant of the possibility of knowing God.

The amazing thing is that this kind of knowledge does not require a blind leap in the dark.

There is abundant evidence for the reality of God and His availability for us to discover Him as an intimate Friend!

“For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities – His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.” Romans 1:20.

Yet: “My people are being destroyed because they don’t know Me.” Hosea 4:6.

The knowledge referred to here is not just to know about God. It involves an intimate experience with God. This is much more than an academic understanding of dusty theology. “This is the way to have eternal life – to know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the One You sent to earth.” John 17:3.

Knowing God has power to infuse our lives with an inner strength that is so essential at a time like this in our world.

Enjoying an experiential life with God has a unique ability to provide us with the inner strength of character to triumph in the face of the huge challenges presented by Covid-19.

Knowing the ever present help available from our loving God can provide powerful inspiration for faith, hope and courage for the days ahead.

To know God experientially, is to know you are really loved by Him and to know that He can be trusted.

Knowing God’s invitation to a life of friendship with Him is an invitation to the best and most fulfilling life that is possible. Nothing in this world has the power to provide inner peace of mind more than knowing God loves you and has your back.

As we develop a life of intimacy with God and He is no longer a stranger to us, the supernatural can become more a commonplace experience in our life. After all Jesus lived a life of the unapologetically supernatural and He has called us to live the same kind of life. “I tell You the truth, anyone who believes in Me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works.” John 14:12.
