Umhlali Tennis Club ladies square off against three clubs

After all the tennis was completed a fun awards ceremony was held where Laura Vos was handed the victor ludorum and her prize was to play with Rob Hoatson for mixed league 2020.

Six of our Umhlali ladies travelled down to Port Elizabeth for a tennis tour in September.

Three matches were played, firstly at Victoria tennis club, then Plettenberg club and finally against the George club.

All the clubs were very friendly and provided a great selection of eats combined with super strong tennis. Our members got to meet many players at the different clubs and will be challenging them next year again.

The brilliant weather conditions attracted the hordes to Saturday social tennis, with 36 people coming down to have some fun. Waylon Ferrandi (with sister Maxi MIA) used his great teaching skills organizing the sets and hurrying those dallying.

The players managed to catch up on the social interaction between sets.

Please come join us for social this Saturday at 1.30pm and make use of this wonderful weather we have been having.
