“Bring back our girls” says Mbozamo Primary

Local school joins global protest.

Mbozamo Primary School pupils showed their caring side when they staged a ‘Bring Back our Girls’ protest at school.

Teacher LE Mbambo said the school is touched by the plight of the kidnapped Nigerian girls, whose case has gained worldwide attention.

“We wanted to express our solidarity with the kidnapped girls and call upon the world not to forget them and support all efforts to ensure their safe return. All schools must be safe places to learn, protected from attack.”

The Mbozamo pupils signed a petition, which will be sent to the Nigerian ambassador in South Africa.

The day included different art forms, including music, dance and poetry.

Mbambo thanked all those who helped make the event a success, including members of the community, who also supported the children.
