Treat stampede at the Ballito NG Gesinskerk bazaar

The next bazaar will be held on November 30.

Business was brisk at the NG Gesinskerk’s busy second bazaar of the year on Saturday.

Susan Aslett, Johan van der Westhuizen, Chené van der Westhuizen, Annette Scholtz and Leon Taljaard manned the curry and rice stall.

Long queues formed at the various tables as people eagerly stocked up on their favourite traditional delicacies such as pancake, koeksisters, vetkoek and jaffels.

Elma Ingram, Lettie van Heerden, Elma Kriek and Rina Hall ensured the popular cake and biscuits table was kept well stocked.

The mouthwatering pancakes were especially in demand, forcing the baking crew to whip up extra batches of mix to stay ahead. No fewer than 1 500 were sold on the day.

The next bazaar will be held on November 30.
