11-Year-old boy and man killed in separate car accidents

The dangerous stretch of the N2 near KwaDukuza claimed yet another life today.

An 11-year-old boy and a man in his early 30s were killed in separate accidents on the North Coast this morning.

The boy died following a single-car accident on the N2 near KwaDukuza, while the man was killed in a head-on collision near Mandeni.

At around 11am, the boy and his grandfather were driving south on the N2 near the KwaDukuza offramp.

“Reports from scene indicate that a vehicle travelling southbound lost control, resulting in it rolling multiple times before coming to rest on the embankment of the northbound lanes,” said IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson, Samantha Meyrick.
