Wednesday Club knits for new moms at Ballito clinic
The club presented their gifts on Breastfeeding Awareness Day.
New mothers attending the Breastfeeding Awareness Day at the Ballito Clinic last week were greeted with a host of donated gifts.
Hand-knitted by members of the Wednesday Social Club, teddy bears, beanies, comforters and blankets were handed out at the event which formed part of World Breastfeeding Week.
Those attending also enjoyed a morning of entertainment and educational presentations on the benefits associated with breastfeeding.
Wednesday Social Club chairperson, Filippa Heyneke, thanked Sioban Hood of CoSi Crafts Ballito for her donations and Ballito Clinic operational manager Leeanna Dubru-Odayar for organising the event.
