Siza Water and R&B Civils revamp Sizani School classrooms for Mandela Day

More than 100 Grade R pupils will now learn in refurbished classrooms thanks to a R500 000 investment made by the two companies.

More than a 100 Grade R pupils at Sizani Combined School in Salt Rock will no longer have to learn in dilapidated, leaky classrooms.

Thanks to a R500 000 investment by Siza Water and R&B Civils as part of their Mandela Day initiative, the school’s two worst classrooms and abultions were refurbished and reopened last Thursday.

Principal Ntombenhle July was overjoyed having the refurbished classrooms available.

Sizani Principal Ntombenhle July said words would never be enough to express her appreciation.

She recalled the day she knocked on Siza Water’s door asking for help as she did not know where she was going to accommodate the school’s newly admitted pupils.

“I am over the moon because these classrooms are a great need for our school and children,” she said.

Siza Water group managing director Shyam Misra expressed his pride in the company’s ability to support local schools, highlighting similar initiatives they have undertaken throughout KwaDukuza.
