Ballito Gallery celebrates nature with new exhibition

'Inspired by Nature' will run from August 1 - September 29.

When looking for creative inspiration, there is no better place to look than the world around us.

From ancient cave paintings to artworks hanging in the most prestigious galleries worldwide, nature has long been a primary reference point for artists.

To reflect this millennia-long connection, The Gallery at Lifestyle Centre will be hosting an appropriate exhibition titled ‘Inspired by Nature’.

The exhibition will launch in conjunction with First Thursdays at 6pm on August 1 and will include some fantastic artworks.

Artists including Paula Breetzke, Shirley Brandon, Brian Eriksson and Vincent Reid will have pieces on display, among many others.

“We are excited to present this exhibition as a celebration of the natural world and the impact it has on artistic expression,” said Gallery curator Sarah O’Reilly.

“Nature has always been a powerful source of inspiration for artists, and this show highlights the incredible diversity of interpretations and perspectives that can be found in art inspired by the environment.”

Alongside the awesome art on display, you can enjoy live music from Afritude and a host of food and drinks options on the opening night.

The exhibition will run until September 29. Daily opening hours at the Gallery are 9am-5pm.
