The Ballito Photo Club’s July competition attracted about 100 top-class entries.
The set subject was “Slow Shutter Speed”, which was won by Brian Roberts.
Entries are judged by national accredited judges according to story-telling aspects, artistic and compositional aspects, technical proficiency and the experience of the photographer.
The July category winners are:
Set subject (slow shutter speed) – Brian Roberts: “A Storm of Stars”.
Nature (birds only) and overall senior winner – John Louw: “At the Beach”.
Overall junior winner – Debbie du Plessis: “Stately Stance”.
Mono – John Roux: “Crazy Glasses”.
Nature (no birds) – Brian Roberts: “Dragonfly”.
Colour Open – Rung Button: “Late one Evening”.
Scapes – Sandra Snyman: “Canola Panorama”.
Photojournalism/sport – John Louw: “Send it”.
Visual Art – Brian Roberts: “Pin-tailed Whydah”.
