Tariff increase for Siza Water clients on the Dolphin Coast

A basic sewer charge per meter will also be instituted.

Siza Water customers will see their general tariffs increased by a maximum of 7% from July.

The increases on water and sewer provision will apply to residents within the Siza Water concession area, which spans from Ballito to Tinley Manor, including Etete.

Residents will now pay a basic water charge per meter of R230, inclusive of VAT, while costs per kilolitre of usage vary.

A basic sewer charge per meter of R557.40, inclusive of VAT, will also be instituted.

You can find the full breakdown of charges and a list of exceptions printed in full on pages 12 and 13.

This year’s increases are lower than the 9.5% charged by Siza Water last year and the 9.5% charged by the iLembe district municipality for services outside the concession area this year.

The Siza Water tariff announcement is the final increase that will need to be managed by residents within the concession area.

General increases of 5% (property rates), 7% (residential refuse removal) and 10.5% (electricity) were announced earlier this month by the KwaDukuza municipality.
