The Ballito Photo Club’s January competition produced a collection of stunning images.
Category and overall winners were:
Mono: Brian Roberts with ‘Cheetah Portrait’.
Nature: John Louw with ‘Speckled Mousebird’.
Photojournalism/Sport: Alan Nixon with ‘Time for Water’.
Visual Art: Rung Button with ‘Eerie Swamplands.
Scapes: Avril Eshmade with ‘Tree Reflections’.
Night Skies: Margot Bayne with ‘Electric Sky’.
Overall Junior category winner: Carol Marneweck with ‘Fluttering Eyelashes’.
The 40-member club meets at the Simbithi Country Club on the second Tuesday of every month and visitors are welcome.
Apart from the monthly competition, experts are also invited to the monthly meetings to give talks on various topics useful to local photographers.
