High fashion for charity draws huge crowd to Summerhill House

Summerhill House co-founder Paula Owen was delighted with the support from the 300-strong audience.

All eyes were on the ramp to witness the vibrant colours of the new season unfold at the annual Summerhill House Spring Fashion Show last week.

Capital Zimbali saw an explosion of colour as local fashion brands Bianca Warren, MUZE, Holiday, LULA, Resonate, Beach & Beyond and Belle Gray showcased the season’s hottest trends.

Summerhill House co-founder Paula Owen was delighted with the support from the 300-strong audience.

“A heartfelt thank you to an entire community who came together all in the name of Summerhill to raise funds for the children we serve. It was a privilege to tell our story with fashion and a venue full of beautiful women as our backdrop.”

“It was a total confirmation of the saying we know so well; it takes a village to raise a child,” said Owen.

The children’s home is based in Etete, and provides a home and family for orphaned and displaced children, while also caring for and feeding vulnerable children from the surrounding community.
